iOS Widget Overview

The iOS Widget of apps appears on users’ Home Screens and Locked Screens when swiped right. They serve as a content preview for apps a user engages with often, or has engaged with recently, especially News sources. Primarily, one article or video is shown, and the Show More option displays the next 3 latest articles/videos.

As shown above, the widget will display a featured image and the title of each article or video, as well as the option to Save and Share.

Select Your Feed

Select a default feed for your app’s widget! You can choose any feed (an mRSS, RSS, Custom Feed via Feed Builder), that contains articles and/or videos.

Navigate to App Creator > Design and select iOS Widget on the left hand side. From here, you can select the feed of your choice.

After feed selection, make sure to hit save.

Select Clear next to the feed if you would like to choose a different one.
