Integrate your CDS subscriber database directly with your MAZ app using our off-the-shelf integration.

Get started

Navigate to Users, and select Database Integrations from the dropdown.

1. To switch on CDS Global, Click the Setup button first.

2. Select Subscription Type for your current subscribers. This does not necessarily have to match what you choose for new subscribers in Subscriptions.

  • All-Access: Current subscribers will have access to all content.

  • Duration-based: Current subscribers will have access to the content dated from their subscription date onward.

3. Manage Login Types

This setting defines how your users will authenticate their subscription (ie, account+zip, email+zip, mailing address). Delete the log in types that do not apply, so that the remaining login types are those that you would like to be available to your subscribers.

4. Test Credentials

Provide at least (2) test accounts for each log in type (per above) and status (examples: active or expired) combination. Select +User and fill in the information per test account.

5. Content Mapping

Mapping is required in order to identify subscriber entitlements or subscription dates from CDS. You can upload the mapping file directly from CDS integration form (Sample CSV) or manage (CRUD) each mapping entry from the form.

Select +Map to add manually or Import CSV to upload the file from CDS.

6. Subscription Status URL

Enter the API URL provided by CDS where MAZ should send user login information.

7. Publication Key

Enter the Publication Key from your CDS account.

8. API Username and Password for authentication

9. Notes

Enter notes for either MAZ or for internal communication regarding your CDS Integration.

Testing your CDS Integration

Playground

To simplify the testing process, we have provided a testing environment on the CDS Integration page.

Using the “+Parameter” icon, add the parameters that you wish to test and fill in some testing data. When you click “Try Now” MAZ will ping your API URL, displaying both the request and the response from CDS.

Note: Parameters must be enabled under “Login Type” before being added for testing.

In-App Testing

You’ll want to test your integration in an app environment to be certain everything is working smoothly. The CDS Integration controls are connected directly to your app, so any changes made in the dashboard will go live immediately. That means you’ll be able to live test as soon as you update the dashboard.
