Preview your mobile app to ensure the look, feel, and functionality are ready to go live. To preview your app during production, you will use MAZ Mirror, a bespoke app by MAZ. If your app is already live, continue to utilize MAZ Mirror and/or TestFlight.

This article will cover the following topics

  1. Requirements

  2. Preview

  3. Test, Submit, & Launch

Requirements

MAZ Mirror is available on iOS only. Before you begin, please make sure you have created your Apple Developer account and have an iOS device on hand.

___

How to Preview

Step 1 - Get Test Flight

Download TestFlight from the App Store on the iPhone or iPad you wish to use to for testing.

Once you have successfully downloaded TestFlight, open this link on the same device: https://testflight.apple.com/join/oL6vXvje

Step 3 - Install MAZ Mirror

You should see an invitation inside the TestFlight app to download the MAZ Mirror App. Tap “Install” and open the app.

Step 4 - Log in with your code

Log into the MAZ Mirror app with your MAZ email and the account code found in the MAZ dashboard under App Creator → Preview.

Step 5 - Refresh to see changes

To see your changes in the MAZ Mirror app, tap on the refresh button the bottom of the screen. You can move this arrow around the screen, or hide it in the settings.

___

Test, Submit, & Launch

If this is a new app…

Move on to test and submit your app to the Apple App Store.

If you app is already live…

1) Use MAZ Mirror to preview dynamic changes to your app.

Dynamic changes include content and design updates such as layouts, colors, and featured images.

The MAZ Mirror App will display "Active" content. Use a Release Date set for the future to preview content before your end users see it in the live app. Adjust the Release Date to push content to the live app.

2. Use TestFlight for changes to your app that require an app update.

Once preliminary preview is completed using MAZ Mirror, you can use a TestFlight build to view your most current version.

Changes to the following elements require an app update:

  • App icon

  • App logo

  • App name

  • App description

  • Screenshots

  • New features released by MAZ

If you have an app update as outlined above, create a new build in the Dashboard via Channels to test and submit the new version of your app following the same process as the first submission.
